DPC | Data Processing Center

Our Data Centre provides a high availability model based on the redundancy of any component or service.

In practice, this translates as the availability of different fully equipped DPCs (Data Processing Centres) located in different facilities, running synchronously by means of permanent replication of resources and records in real-time.

The dimensioning of each server or communications device is done using an active-active configuration which means the immediate launch of the duplicate of any component in the event of failure of the other. This cuts down the recovery time in incidents of any type, from server crash to failure of a whole DPC.

BCP | Business Continuity Plan

The BCP covers both the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP, PRD), and the Business Restart Plan. The disaster recovery procedure involves a wide range of coordinated technical and human resources that come into play immediately in the event of any contingency that threatens the company’s service provision through the EDICOM Platform.

EDICOM has robust, tried and tested procedures to safeguard the administrative unit, the Data Processing Centre, the human resources responsible for providing the service and the information and documentation generated.

The BCP is a key tool to assure our customers continuous service through the EDICOM Platform and the guarantee for the recovery of the operations, information and documentation generated in the systems in the face of any natural human events that might affect EDICOM's activity.

The EDICOM Platform model is based on a powerful service infrastructure managed by qualified professionals to ensure uninterrupted system activity 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. To this end, we have created a solid organisation of qualified professionals performing their duties in various areas:

  • Technical monitoring 24x7: A technical team experienced in communications, systems and programming, permanently monitors and looks after our technological infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation of all the solutions and applications up and running. The team likewise consists of people with specific responsibility and decision-making skills to adopt the necessary measures in real-time to allow uninterrupted service through the EDICOM B2B Cloud Platform.
  • International Support Centre: Rollout of an e-commerce solution through our ASP–SaaS platform includes a backup service for the user to resolve any queries or incidents. This service is taken care of by the CSC (Customer Service Centre) and ensures personalized attention for thousands of users all over the world in seven different languages, within our customers’ normal working hours in their respective countries.
