EDI Certification Tool

Deftly manage supplier status with regard to adopting critical EDI flows in your electronic data interchange project.

Partner Certification Portal

The EDI Certification Portal is the tool EDICOM developed to facilitate the onboarding of new EDI flows between partners, providing a space of autonomy where users can see the quality of the processes implemented in their electronic data interchange projects for themselves.

  1. EDI NEW PARTNER ONBOARDING

The company has rolled out the testing and certification portal in the sphere of new partner onboarding to generate a project with a scenario for running tests with the required EDI message. The partner or supplier builds its EDI transactions following the requirements in the guide concerned and can later check the test messages against the validator integrated in the certification portal.

  2. EXTENDING YOUR EDI PROJECT

The portal makes it possible to define different scenarios in line with supplier type and EDI message to include, e.g., despatch advice message, order response, inventory report, credit note, etc. It assigns partners to the corresponding scenarios, where they must run the specified tests, checking that their data structures meet the specifications listed in the project sponsor’s EDI guidelines.

Supplier Onboarding

Our Supplier Onboarding service is the ideal supplement to the EDI Certification Portal. Find out more about our onboarding service and what we can do for you to boost the performance of your B2B communications platform.

How does the EDI Certification Portal work?

Example of certification portal operation for onboarding an EDI DESADV (Despatch Advice) message in a supplier network.

Project Sign-Up

Project Sign-Up

The company signs up to the EDICOM Certification Portal so its suppliers can run the tests needed to onboard a new EDI message, for example.

Scenario Creation

Scenario Creation

The different test scenarios are defined in line with the supplier's characteristics. For example, one scenario targeted at food suppliers and another at other suppliers.

Validation Development

Validation Development

EDICOM generates a validator for each of the project scenarios which includes a test timeline and minimum number of successful tests needed to pass each scenario.

Access Configuration

Access Configuration

The sponsor provides the suppliers with access to the different assigned scenarios. The supplier gets acceptance or error messages depending on the tests run.

Project Status

Project Status

The sponsor has an overview of the project and a particular view of each supplier for real-time monitoring of process progress: Scenarios pending, successful and erroneous tests, etc.

Certification and Go Live

Certification and Go Live

Once the assigned scenarios have been passed, the supplier is certified and authorised to integrate with the project sponsor. The EDI messages defined in the portal can then begin to be exchanged.
